GitLab Installation Check, Python Script Debugging, and Local Setup Assistance I am experiencing multiple issues and require assistance with the following tasks.
1.
GitLab Installation Check.
• Verify if GitLab has been installed and configured correctly on my server.
• Ensure that all necessary dependencies, services, and configurations are functioning as expected.
• Identify and fix any installation or configuration errors.
2.
Python Script Debugging.
• Investigate and resolve issues in a Python script that is not functioning as intended.
• Review the code, identify the root cause of the issue, and implement fixes.
• Provide recommendations or improvements to enhance the script’s reliability and performance.
3.
Local Setup Assistance.
• Help set up the codebase locally to ensure smooth development and debugging.
• Provide clear instructions for installing dependencies, configuring the environment, and running the code.
• Assist in resolving any local environment issues during the setup process.
Tasks and Requirements.
1.
GitLab Investigation.
• Check the current GitLab installation status.
• Validate that the GitLab instance is operational, including repository management and CI/CD pipelines (if applicable).
• Troubleshoot any errors found during the investigation.
2.
Python Script Debugging.
• Analyze the script and identify why it is failing.
• Debug the code, fix errors, and ensure it runs smoothly.
• Test the fixed script to confirm its functionality.
3.
Local Environment Setup.
• Provide guidance on setting up the codebase locally.
• Troubleshoot any setup issues (e.
., dependency conflicts or environment variables).
• Ensure the local setup is fully functional for development and testing.
4.
Documentation and Reporting.
• Document the changes made to the GitLab configuration and the Python script.
• Provide clear instructions for the local setup process.
• Include a summary of identified issues and the solutions implemented.
Skills Required.
• Expertise in GitLab installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong Python programming and debugging skills.
• Experience with Linux server administration (Ubuntu or similar).
• Familiarity with local development environments, dependency management, and troubleshooting tools.
