You don’t need prior programming knowledge, but you should be open to understanding basic concepts to actively engage in discussions.
The goal is to create a supportive environment for practicing mentorship skills.
Responsibilities.
- Participate in virtual sessions on Zoom and engage in programming discussions.
- Ask relevant questions, give feedback, and provide insight into the clarity of explanations.
- Help simulate real-world mentorship scenarios by listening actively and engaging thoughtfully.
Requirements.
- Good English communication skills and comfort with speaking on camera.
- Reliable internet connection, webcam, and audio setup.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn programming basics.
- The mentee will simulate a beginner level programmer - Discussions will primarily revolve around Python and JavaScript - Key focus areas will include conceptual understanding - The mentee should be able to take notes effectively during the sessions to document key learning points.
