The current PHP flight booking engine needs to be enhanced with a web scraping service for real-time flight availability.
The ideal candidate will modify the existing system to incorporate API support, multi-currency capabilities, and seamless payment gateways integration.
We are currently using a PHP flight booking engine to sell flights, like the one found here.
PHP Jabbers Bus Reservation System.
While we have customized the script, it currently checks flight availability against our database rather than real-time availability from airlines.
Current Challenge.
We need to modify the existing script to check flight availability using a web scraping service.
We would appreciate your assistance with this.
Options.
1.
Modify the existing PHP Internet Booking Engine (IBE) by adding an API feeding it live flight data/availability 2.
Develop a new IBE with API integration (with web scraping service scraping flights & flight availability from the airlines website), features like PHP Travels.
Requirements for the IBE.
Dedicated Flights Module.
-Manage flights, routes, airlines, and multiple GDS APIs.
Support for multi-currency and multi-language, with automatic currency rate updates.
-Integration with major online payment gateways for bookings.
Markup and Fees.
-Customizable markup options (percentage and fixed amount).
-Set a reservation fee per passenger (e.
., €15).
Multi-Currency Support.
-Default currency settings per route (e.
., Euro (EUR) or Pound (GBP)).
API Integration.
-Integrate APIs such as Google Flights and web scraping services like [login to view URL] to gather real-time flight data from airlines.
Payment Gateway Integration.
-Support for Stripe, PayPal, and other custom payment gateways.
Notifications.
-Email and SMS notifications for bookings.
Reporting.
-Booking reports for administrative use.
-Admin Backend.
User-friendly backend for managing bookings and configurations.
