TECHNICAL ARCHITECT (NL + ENG)

Technical Architect Location.
Brussels, Belgium Hybrid.
2-3 times a week on the client´s office Candidates must possess European nationality or a valid work permit for Belgium Mandatory Languages.
One of the national languages (Dutch and French) must be the mother tongue, and the other language must be understood and readable Job Description.
We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance, and innovative technology solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a passion for emerging technologies, and expertise in modern architectural patterns.
As a Technical Architect, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that solutions align with business needs while adhering to industry best practices.
Responsibilities.
- Design and define scalable architectures for enterprise applications, including microservices, serverless architectures, and cloud-native solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend cutting-edge technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance system performance and scalability.
- Develop technical blueprints, guidelines, and documentation to guide the development team in implementing solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, product owners, and developers, to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure the integration of systems and services through the design of APIs, message brokers (e.
., Kafka, RabbitMQ), and other communication protocols.
- Lead discussions around DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Promote and implement security best practices, including zero-trust architectures, encryption, and secure coding standards.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot architectural issues, and optimize solutions for scalability and reliability.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies such as AI/ML, IoT, and blockchain to ensure the organization remains competitive and innovative.
- Mentor developers and junior architects, providing guidance on technical challenges and architectural decisions.
Requirements.
- Proven experience as a Technical Architect or similar role, with at least 5+ years of experience in software development.
- Strong expertise in modern backend frameworks and languages (e.
., Java,.
ET, Python, Go).
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including serverless technologies like AWS Lambda or Azure Functions.
- Solid understanding of architectural patterns like microservices, event-driven architectures, and domain-driven design (DDD).
- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
- Experience with database design for SQL (e.
., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.
., MongoDB, DynamoDB) systems.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies and their integration (e.
., React, Angular, or Vue.
s).
- Strong understanding of API design principles, including REST, GraphQL, and gRPC.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD tools (e.
., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI), and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.
., Terraform, Ansible).
- Knowledge of security best practices, including OWASP guidelines, identity management (e.
., OAuth, SAML), and encryption techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound architectural decisions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications.
- Certification in cloud platforms (e.
., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Architect).
- Experience with emerging technologies such as AI/ML, IoT, and blockchain.
- Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
