ob OverviewThe Watch Person/Security Officer colleague is responsible for ensuring the safety of guests and colleagues in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
ssential ResponsibilitiesPatrol the interior of and the perimeter of the hotel and the property to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks and undesirable conditions.
espond to emergency situations such as safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property.
romote safe work practices.
nitiates preliminary investigations into incidents.
rites reports and ensures accuracy of necessary documentation.
esponds to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
eneral guest requests, general cleaning and maintenance, and room service responsibilities.
ssist with flow of traffic.
ther tasks as assigned by the Director of Rooms, General Manager and Manager on Duty.
ualifications Education.
igh school diploma or GED equivalency preferred.
xperience.
revious experience preferred.
nteraction/Skill Set.
bility to follow all safety procedures/standards and be able to recognize and act in emergency situations.
bility to be under and follow directions, and perform job functions with limited supervision.
bility to effectively deal with customers' complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the guests, and providing positive and proactive solutions.
Work EnvironmentAvailability to work various shifts to include evenings, weekends and holidays.
