The SAP S/4HANA Procure to Pay (P2P) Solution Architect will lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP S/4HANA solutions in the Procure to Pay (P2P) domain with a focus on direct material purchasing.
This role requires extensive experience in SAP Material Management (MM), integration knowledge, and delivery of solutions within automotive and discrete manufacturing industries.
Key Responsibilities.
Solution Design & Implementation.
Lead the end-to-end design, configuration, and deployment of SAP S/4HANA P2P solutions, specifically focusing on direct material purchasing.
Conduct design workshops to capture requirements and define the solution architecture for P2P processes, covering Purchasing, Contracts, Scheduling Agreements, Subcontracting, and Invoice Verification.
Configure SAP S/4HANA for P2P processes, including organizational structure, Master Data, Purchasing (PR/PO), Inventory Management, MRP, and Accounts Payable integration.
Cross-Functional Integration.
Ensure seamless integration across SAP modules, including FI, SD, QM, and EWM, for a comprehensive S/4HANA solution within the P2P scope.
Collaborate with other teams to manage dependencies and enable cross-functional data and process flows.
Project Delivery.
Leverage SAP Activate methodology and agile frameworks to drive project execution from planning through go-live.
Guide project teams through all phases of implementation, ensuring deliverables align with quality standards and client expectations.
Provide knowledge transfer and mentorship to team members, enforcing best practices for SAP configuration and implementation.
Client Engagement.
Work closely with clients to understand their needs and translate them into scalable SAP S/4HANA P2P solutions.
Present and demonstrate solutions, sharing industry best practices and recommendations to align with client objectives.
Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor to ensure solutions support long-term goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications.
Experience.
10+ years of SAP implementation experience in the Procure to Pay domain, with a focus on direct material purchasing.
At least two full lifecycle S/4HANA implementation projects, including one in the automotive or discrete manufacturing industry.
Solid understanding of SAP Activate methodology and agile project delivery.
Technical Expertise.
Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA MM processes, including Organizational Structure, Master Data, Purchasing (PR/PO/Contract/Scheduling Agreements), Subcontracting, Inventory Management, MRP, and Invoice Verification.
Experience with batch management and AP integration within SAP S/4HANA.
Certifications.
SAP S/4HANA MM certification preferred.
Soft Skills.
Strong client-facing and communication skills, capable of leading workshops and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications.
Knowledge of SAP Ariba or SAP Digital Procurement solutions.
Experience with automotive industry standards and processes.
Additional certifications in SAP or project management (e.
., PMP, PRINCE2).
