Position SummaryFront Office Supervisor may perform all front desk duties including check-ins, checkouts, reservations, guest phone messages and special requests.
This position requires diplomatic skills and the ability to deal with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
This position will assist with the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and Andaz brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations.
osition Responsibilities/ Essential FunctionsOrganizes, directs, and monitors daily activities of Front Desk Hosts.
bility to complete all of the duties and responsibilities of the Front Desk Associate.
nsures efficient, friendly, and professional guest registration, checkout, and telephone service; supervise Front Desk Agents to ensure that established procedures are followed.
stablishes procedures, prepares and coordinates schedules, and expedites workflow.
ssists with hiring, training, motivating, and rewarding front desk agents and resolve any issues that occur on the job.
eviews current day's expected arrivals and checks all VIP and special request reservations to ensure that they are pre-registered, blocked properly, and other departments are notified of room assignments.
eviews the daily room availability and informs all appropriate team members.
eviews status of departures on a daily basis; relays all pertinent information to front desk agents and other appropriate staff.
erforms front desk agent responsibilities as needed to process guests expediently including but not limited to checking guest into hotel, responding to guest questions, resolving guest problems/complaints, answering telephone, making guest reservations, and checking guests out of hotel.
nsures that guests' needs are fulfilled and their stay is as pleasurable as possible; assists with dining, entertainment, or transportation reservations as needed.
ssists front desk agents with resolution of guest problems/complaints as needed.
ossesses and maintains thorough knowledge of hotel services, facilities, policies, and room rates and area's attractions.
espond to customer complaints and special requests with corrective action.
aintain clear and efficient communication and coordination with the housekeeping and other departments of the hotel.
Conducts or ensures all Training and Evaluations are completed as required by HyattComplete various additional tasks and assignments as needed.
ualifications A minimum of a Diploma in Hospitality/ Tourism Management or a relevant field;2 years or more of progressive Hotel Rooms Management experienceAbility to speak a second Language fluently will be considered an asset.
xcellent proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications;Refined verbal and written communication skills;Physically agile, ability to stand or walk for long periods of time;Excellent time management and organizational skills;Excellent problem solving skills.
