Position Description.
US CITIZENSHIP AND ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED CGI Federal is currently seeking a Enterprise Architect SME with active Top-Secret clearances to support a large project for a federal government client.
The team is responsible for maintaining the clients cloud accounts, VPCs, and cloud-managed services with automated processes consistent with industry best practices in DevOps.
This position can be filled in the Washington, DC area.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
• The Enterprise Architect shall utilize the agency’s enterprise business strategy to define systems architecture.
• Provide recommendations on cross domain impacts and facilitation of architectural principals, standards and imperatives.
Review and provide input on solution option evaluations and contributes to the overall design of the solutions from discovery and analysis to design; • Develop actionable and reliable architecture artifacts, principles, policies, and standards by maturing the quality of the enterprise architecture repository (in-production and future-states), and ensuring good architectural practices; • Build Enterprise-class, vibrant, and impactful architecture by supporting the hiring and development of staff in architecture and analysis for growth and impact; • Collaborate with other architects, business analysts, engineers, and project managers on a wide range of technology projects, including software development, package installation and infrastructure upgrades and changes.
Influences requirements and contributes to identification, specification, and recommendation of solution architectures.
May work in multiple technical areas, including processes, software, data, network, and systems.
• Select and architect technology solutions, develop architecture capability, ensure alignment with the client’s wider business and architecture strategies • Develop/maintain solution architecture and technical design documents.
• Effectively conduct investigations and analysis to provide recommendations regarding technology improvements, and development best practices.
• Assign tasks and review work products of developers to implement technology strategies and establish reusable systems, infrastructures, frameworks, and tools for AWS Cloud.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• 12+ years of hands-on experience as an Enterprise Architect, Principle Engineer (Lead Developer), or similar role for large scale, complex enterprise solutions using agile practices in a service-oriented and Micro services environment with tight deadlines.
Experience with both development and infrastructure efforts.
• Assist with performing security assessments and in mitigating risks during development and, operations and maintenance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Amazon Web Services, to include the build and deployment of Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) • Microsoft Azure Cloud, to include the build and deployment of Azure Virtual Machines (AVMs) • GitLab • JFROG Artifactory • Splunk • Nessus Tenable Security Center CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
