Job Description For Director of Spa(HOZ) in Miami Beach,United States.
DELANOCompany DescriptionWe are looking for a Director of Spa to join the re-opening of the famed Delano Miami Beach.
Set to open its doors in , Delano Miami Beach will fuse historic charm with contemporary luxury, reflecting a reimagined experience that pays homage to the original visionary concept.
Comprising 170 rooms and distinct food and beverage concepts, the hotel will preserve its iconic walk-in pool and, in addition, unveil a new pool on an amenity deck, offering breathtaking views of the ocean.
Delano Miami Beach will act as the brand's flagship location, re-establishing Delano as a trailblazer in luxury lifestyle hospitality.
Ennismore, in partnership with Cain International (the owners of Delano Miami Beach as well as partner in the Delano brand), are currently undertaking a significant renovation and redevelopment of the iconic Delano hotel with an aim to open its doors again ahead of the winter high season.
As Director of Spa, you will be responsible for the full scope of spa operations, supporting and driving the overall success of the spa through leadership in marketing, programming, guest satisfaction, team development, and commercial performance.
You will shape the spa's vision, ensure high standards, and lead a passionate team in delivering an exceptional guest experience.
ob DescriptionWhat you'll do...
Oversee and manage all day-to-day spa operations to meet business objectives.
evelop long-term strategies, performance benchmarks, and standards to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
ead recruitment efforts to attract top talent across therapists, technicians, and front desk staff.
Recruit, train, develop, and lead the spa team to deliver high performance and guest satisfaction.
romote teamwork and a collaborative environment, placing emphasis on service excellence.
rovide direction, coaching, and motivation to team members, setting clear expectations and goals.
articipate in hotel leadership meetings and cross-department collaboration.
reate and manage staff schedules aligned with business demands, special events, and operational priorities.
nsure all team members are trained to the highest standard.
romote and sell spa services and treatments to maximize revenue.
onitor individual retail performance, provide coaching and incentives to drive sales.
n collaborations with other key departments, plan and execute spa promotions and seasonal packages, evaluating success and ROI.
aintain effective stock and cost control systems, including ordering, inventory management, and rotation.
onitor treatment scheduling to optimize guest demand and revenue.
Track and report on key performance indicators and treatment trends.
onitor and control payroll and operating expenses to achieve profitability targets.
andle guest feedback, inquiries, and complaints with a focus on swift, professional resolution.
versee VIP, PR, and media visits; ensure consistent brand representation and elevated guest care.
aintain a visible presence in guest areas, fostering strong relationships and personalized experiences.
ollaborate with hotel departments to ensure seamless guest journeys.
nsure compliance with hotel and health & safety standards.
rain all new employees on hygiene and safety procedures as part of their onboarding.
onduct regular inspections to uphold spa cleanliness and presentation standards.
articipates in Fire Safety and Loss Prevention programs.
nsure preparation of required reports, including (but not limited to) Wage Progress, payroll, revenue, team member schedules, quarterly actions plans.
versee divisional matters as they relate to federal, state and local employment and civil rights laws.
e recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service.
We will on occasion call for everyone on the team to on a routine basis perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional service.
QualificationsWhat we're looking for...
+ years of progressive experience in spa, hotel or a related industry leadership role, preferably in an luxury brand hotel.
revious Spa opening experience preferredProven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation with a proven track record of living the company's values.
ou're a strong team leader, a natural at managing and inspiring others in a way that gets the best out of them.
ou combine analytical and methodical thinking with high attention to detail and a solution-focused approach.
ou're a great communicator - both verbally and written - and a great listener.
Fluent in English and Spanish preferred.
proficient understanding of Computer systems such as.
Opera, Hotsos, Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook, point of sale systems, booking systems.
bility to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail.
You prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the operation.
