SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT (M/F/D)

From Porto, you will guide the optimal use of infrastructure, tools, and processes, enabling our globally distributed analytics and operational teams to share and use data across the company more efficiently.
If you are passionate about modern data architecture and want to shape the future of logistics, this could be your perfect next step! Your Role As a Solution Architect (m/f/d), you will empower data product teams by designing scalable, efficient, and future-proof data architectures.
You will ensure that cloud-based infrastructure is leveraged optimally across data products and systems, providing strategic guidance on data processing, cloud development, and data warehousing.
You will play a key role in integrating solutions into the data mesh ecosystem, aligning them with infrastructure best practices and organizational needs.
Your Responsibilities Act as a reference point for architecture definition and data product development in a data mesh setting which serves also operational applications.
Serve as a contact for data product teams, providing onboarding and best-practice guidelines for modern data processing.
Support data product teams throughout their entire lifecycle – from ideation and specification to architectural design, prototyping and production integration.
Your Skills and Experiences You have experience as a senior data or backend engineer with a DevOps culture.
Hands-on experience with at least one cloud provider (optimally AWS).
Experience with data pipelines/orchestration involving micro-batching and real-time data in a data mesh / big data context, ideally using Snowflake, Dagster, dbt, or Airflow, is considered a plus.
Experience with at least one stream processing framework (Kafka Streams, Flink, Spark Structured Streaming, AWS Kinesis...) and having worked in an event-driven/microservices context is a plus.
Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (GitLab CI, Terraform, and Flyway are a plus).
A mindset focused on building reusable solutions and documenting patterns that can serve as blueprints for similar challenges.
Proactive, self-starter, able to motivate the team in a dynamic environment.
Team player, you enjoy working collaboratively and are willing to develop and empower others.
Spoken and written English communication skills allow you to advocate for best practices to globally distributed teams.
