Your role in our team As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll focus on the design, development, integration, and management of Data Lakehouses/ Data Warehouses for financial clients.
Your role is to drive and lead by example software development/ data teams to build and maintain data infrastructure (think about data pipelines, data governance and developing analytical applications) to accelerate delivery of information-driven services.
You support various stakeholders in the design process and also mentor juniors to help them succeed.
You are “tech savvy” and always have an eye on newest technologies and are not afraid to bring it to a good discussion, be it at team events or during a foosball/borrel! Core Responsibilities.

Our ideal candidate is a seasoned Data Engineer with a strong background in software development and cloud systems.
Here's how you'll make an impact.
• You have a proven track record in software development, with a focus on building data infrastructures (data warehouses, data lakehouse) and have a DevOps mindet.
• You have solid experience in Databricks || Snowflake and have worked with Unity Catalogue, Apache Airflow, Spark (or other equivalent technologies) • You understand and know Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Version Control (GIT), CI/CD, Test Automation frameworks.
• You possess associate level or up certifications in one or more Cloud Service Providers (Azure || AWS || GCP) and have affinity in setting up and scaling data analytics solutions.
• You are skilled in a major data and analytics related programming language (such as python, scala).
• You understand databases, relational || NoSQL • Your ability to mentor and coach product owners and junior developers sets you apart.
• Your educational background is solid, with a focus on Information Technology or a related field.
Alternatively, you have a wealth of hands-on experience that demonstrates an equivalent working level.
• You come to the table with more than 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• If you have experience working for Financial Services clients, Insurance, Pensions, Banking, it's a definite advantage.
• If you speak Dutch, it’s an advantage.
