The task is to develop and backtest a custom trading strategy based on a specific set of conditions that relate to Nifty 50 index funds.
This strategy involves monitoring price movements, detecting reversals, and executing trades based on specified conditions.
Key Requirements.
Platform Expertise.
Ability to implement the strategy on platforms such as Zerodha API, Streak, or similar.
Experience with Zerodha Kite API or streak integration is preferred.
Intraday Trading Knowledge.
Understanding of intraday trading in the Indian stock market, particularly in Nifty 50.
Programming Skills.
Proficient in Python or any language suitable for algorithmic trading.
Backtesting Experience.
Experience in creating robust backtesting modules to test strategy performance over historical data.
Condition Monitoring and Alerts.
Set up real-time monitoring and alert functionality based on the defined conditions.
Optimization and Fine-tuning.
Ability to optimize and fine-tune the strategy based on initial results.
Additional Information.
The strategy is based on monitoring directional changes in Nifty 50 along with specific point increases or decreases.
The implementation will require tracking price reversals and executing trades based on set conditions.
The strategy should be able to automatically enter and exit trades based on these conditions, and adjustments should be possible after the backtesting phase.
