The Role The Senior Data Analyst is an active thought partner who shapes the Business demand and work closely with the Project / Product teams and stakeholders.
The Senior Data Analyst gathers, analyses and models data and key performance indicators to develop quantitative and qualitative business insights.
Develops processes and design reports to boost the business intelligence and is good at effectively processing large amounts of data into meaningful information.
Key interface towards the Project / Product Managers, Design Architects, Data Engineers, Testers, End users etc.
as a natural team to deliver the Business demands.
Key Characteristics • Collating Business requirements, Analyzing the value drivers and functional requirements, usability, and supportability considerations.
• Perform root cause analysis on Data problems and translate Data requirements into functionality and assess the risks, feasibility, opportunities, and various solution options.
• Create clear documentation to communicate requirements and related information; keep updated to align with the solution during the project lifecycle.
• Ensure traceability of requirements from Data needs and requirements, through testing and scope changes, to training and transition.
• Create acceptance criteria and validate that solution by testing and ensure it meet business needs.
• Work closely with stakeholders to build trust and understand their business objectives, constraints, risks, and operating environment.
• Present reports and findings to key stakeholders and be the subject matter expert on Data Analysis & Design.
• Drive implementation efficiency and effectiveness across the pilots and future projects to minimize cost, increase speed of implementation and maximize value delivery.
• Describe technology in terms easily understood by business customers and set realistic customer expectations for the project outcome.
Adjust customer expectations in accordance with changes in scope.
• Generate innovative approaches to existing problems or new opportunities.
Description of day-to-day activities specifically for a Data Analyst in S/4H AM • The role involves daily interaction with CP and MSC stakeholders to understand their business design and reporting requirements.
• It involves working closely with the design architects, development team, finance, and AM (Asset Management) team to understand and communicate the implications of the requirements.
• Requirements are translated into actionable insights and solutions which are scalable and adaptable.
• It requires use of reporting tools such as S/4H SAP Fiori applications, SAC, BTP etc.
to provide optimized, innovative, and cost-effective solutions within as well as outside the systems.
• It involves testing of the reports with the development team and business stakeholders in multiple SAP systems.
Professional Qualifications & Skills Required Skills • Functional knowledge in AM (Asset Management) – Mastery • Functional knowledge in PM (Plant Maintenance) – Mastery • Functional knowledge in QM (Quality Maintenance) – Mastery • SQL markup language - Knowledge • Analytics & Reporting – Knowledge • A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets.
• A skilled communicator capable of speaking to both technical developers, architects, and business stake holders.
• Self-motivated, innovative, and very good in taking up new initiatives and driving them to closure.
• Experience in working with AGILE methodologies.
Nice to have Skills • Knowledge of the Business Intelligence technologies and their relevant functions (reporting, online analytical processing, analytics, data mining, business performance management, benchmarking etc).
• Managing small teams.
• Experience of working in a global business environment / different culture and with global stakeholders.
