SALES MANAGER – TRAVEL INDUSTRY (LUXURY HOSPITALITY)

Reports To.
Director of Sales & Business Development Job Summary.
The Sales Manager for the Travel Industry is responsible for driving revenue by cultivating strong relationships with tour operators, travel agencies, and other key players in the travel industry.
This role involves designing and executing targeted strategies to attract high-value travel partners, optimizing sales performance, and ensuring the brand's luxury standards are upheld.
________________________________________ Key Responsibilities.
Sales Strategy and Development.
• Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives targeting tour operators, travel agencies, and luxury travel consortia.
• Identify and secure new partnerships within the travel industry to expand market reach.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to position the brand as a preferred luxury hospitality partner.
Relationship Management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key travel agencies and tour operators.
• Conduct sales calls, presentations, and destination training sessions to educate partners about the property’s unique offerings.
• Act as the primary liaison for travel industry partners, ensuring prompt responses to inquiries and requests.
Revenue Growth.
• Collaborate with the revenue management team to develop attractive pricing and packages for the travel trade.
• Drive bookings by promoting exclusive deals, group incentives, and loyalty programs to travel partners.
• Monitor and analyze sales performance to ensure targets are consistently met or exceeded.
Marketing and Collaboration.
• Work with the marketing team to create customized promotional materials for travel agencies and tour operators.
• Represent the brand at industry trade shows, travel fairs, and networking events to increase visibility.
• Develop co-marketing campaigns with top-performing travel partners to boost mutual business growth.
Administration and Reporting.
• Maintain an accurate database of travel industry partners using CRM tools.
• Prepare and present detailed sales performance reports, market insights, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure all contracts and agreements are documented and comply with company policies.

Education and Experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Tourism Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales within the luxury travel and hospitality industry.
• Established network of contacts in the travel agency and tour operator sectors.
Skills and Competencies.
• Proven success in managing travel industry partnerships and driving revenue.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of global travel markets, trends, and luxury travel expectations.
• Proficient in Hotel PMS (Opera, Host, etc.), CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant technologies.

• Adaptable and culturally aware, capable of engaging diverse travel partners.
