Work Objectives Contribute to the numerical implementation of post-processing algorithms in a FPGA for efficient generation of random numbers from a quantum random bit generation.
Place of Work The work will be developed at the premises of Instituto de Telecomunicações at University of Aveiro, under the supervision of Prof.
Armando Pinto.
Duration 7 months, with the possibility of renewal.
This type of scholarship has a maximum duration of 1 year.
Start date.
October or soon thereafter.
Monthly Salary € according to the table of grant amounts awarded directly by FCT for positions held in Portugal (www.
ct.
t/apoios/bolsas/valores).
The payment will be made by bank transfer.
Admission Requirements Research Initiation Grants are intended.
- for students enrolled in a professional higher technical course, undergraduate degree, integrated master's degree, or master's degree, to undertake initial R&D activities, with a view to beginning their scientific training through integration in R&D projects to be developed in national institutions.
- for students carrying out initial R&D activities who are enrolled in non-degree courses integrated in the educational project of a higher education institution, developed in association or cooperation with one or more R&D units.
Candidates must be enrolled in a higher professional technical course, a bachelor's degree, an integrated master’s, or a master's degree in the areas of Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Physics Engineering or equivalent, with great-motivation and ability for teamwork.
