We are looking for Research Assistant to join our group in the Lab-on-a-chip device for bacteria and AMR genes detection project of the Smartgnostics Agenda, under the PRR framework.
Job Duties The job duties will be the following.
Perform and optimise bacterial DNA purification and amplification within a microfluidic device; Test the integration of the purification and amplification microfluidic modules; Validate the microfluidic devices with biological samples.
Mandatory Qualifications   Education MSc in Natural Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, or related fields.
Experience and Technical Skills Hands-on microfluidic devices fabrication and testing; Experience in biosensing devices for bacterial detection.
Preferred Qualifications Know-how in DNA purification/amplification strategies; Experience in microbiology; Knowledge of biological sample handling.
Personal Skills “ Hands-on” approach together with a high commitment in respecting working deadlines; Problem Solving ability; Customer orientation; Ability to work independently and as team player; Good communication skills.
