# nanoparticles #nanocomposites # drugdeliversystems # cellculture #TEM #SEM #CONFOCAL Overview The Bañobre Research Group focuses on the development of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches towards an early and unequivocal diagnosis and treatment of cancer, inflammatory and neurological diseases.
We are looking for a qualified Postdoc Researcher to join our team in the Development of immunomodulating formulations for systemic administration project of the CInTech Agenda, under the PRR framework.
Job Duties The job duties will be the following.
Synthesis of n anoparticles and nanocomposites; Nanostructure functionalisation; Perform technical physico -c hemical analysis and characterisation of developed products; Perform advanced functional magnetic characteri s ation of developed products; Regular progress report writing and presentations; Attend consortium meetings.
Mandatory Qualifications Education PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Nanomedicine, or equivalent.
Experience and Technical Skills 3+ years of post-doc experience in the area; Experience in nanotechnology /nanomedicine research; Hands on experience on the synthesis and characteris ation of nanomaterials and nanocomposites (e.
., lipid-based, polymer-based, m agnetic, silica, QDs, UCNPs, CD); Experience with drug delivery systems (i.
., small molecules, proteins, genetic material); E xperience on the functionalis ation of nanostructures (e.
., prote ins, peptides, genetic material); Experience with adva nced physicochemical characterisation technologies (i.
., TEM, SEM, ICP, TGA, HPLC, VSM, SQUID).
Other Preferred Qualifications Hands on experience with cell culture, 2D/3D in vitro models and in vitro characterisation assays; Ex perience in in vitro characteris ation techniques (e.
., FAC S, CONFOCAL, FL microscopy); Experience with hydrogels and/or scaffolds; Hands on experience with MRI and magnetic hyperthermia; Experience with organic che mistry synthesis and characteris ation techniques; Previous participation in collaborative national, international and/or industrial research projects.
Personal Skills “ Hands-on” approach together with a high commitment in respecting working deadlines; Problem Solving ability; Customer orientation; Ability to work independently and as team player; Good communication skills.
