We are looking for a passionate Production Manager to support our purchasing department with the selection and procurement of products.
The Production Manager’s responsibilities include maintaining positive vendor relations, preparing retail and pricing strategies, placing and tracking purchase orders, managing inventory and keeping track of market trends.
PROFILE - MINIMUM EXPERIENCE.
1-2 YEAR - Great organisation skills is mandatory - English speaker is mandatory (other languages will be valued, especially Spanish).
- Proven experience in import/export.
- Experience in furniture production will be valued -Experience in quality control will be valued - Communication skills - Problem-solving skills JOB DESCRIPTION.
- Ordering product based on rate of sale and min/max quantities to maintain optimum levels.
- Follow up non-delivered supplier purchase orders and back orders.
- Keep publication dates for forthcoming products up to date.
- Manage price change/information changes.
- Maintenance of individual product lists.
- Setting up and maintaining stock and supplier records.
- Supplier returns.
- Manage supplier invoice/supply disputes.
- Manage generic buying email inbox.
- General administration.
- Total familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is necessary.
- The ability to manage time and workload independently and to cope with multiple priorities and the varying demands of a seasonal business is essential.
