The selected candidate will be responsible for the operation and monitoring of different network infrastructures and devices.
Work Location.
Sept-Iles Reporting to the Superintendent, Network and Telecommunications, the incumbent will have to perform the following tasks.
-Monitor and maintain all elements of the local and extended network (cabled and wireless).
-Plan and implement all changes and updates.
-Manage and maintain the IP address tables for all networks.
-Solve various problems related to network hardware and software components.
-Implement troubleshooting procedures.
-Create and maintain network infrastructure documentation.
To be considered for this role, you must have the following skills and experience.
-College/university studies.
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent network-related experience is an asset.
-CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification or equivalent experience and training.
-Knowledge of ASA, Firepower and Checkpoint firewalls.
-Knowledge of network segmentation (VLSM, firewalls, DMZ, VLANs and routing).
-At least five years experience in a similar position.
-Experience working in an industrial setting.
-Experience working with all types of fibre optic and copper networks.
-Experience in IP telephony and radio systems.
-Motivation and ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
