CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Network Detection and Response (NDR) Tools Engineer for the Build Team.
You will play a key role in enhancing the network security posture of numerous government agencies by implementing and administering NDR in a shared service platform.
You will lead the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of NDR Tools in a cloud-hosted environment and will support the configuration of the solution for multiple tenants in order to meet each agency’s technical requirements.
This opportunity will support a dynamic, fast-paced and energetic project focused on improving federal cybersecurity at civilian agencies.
This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
You will be required to be in our Fairfax, VA office two days per week.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain NDR Tools that include ExtraHop and CoreLight in a secure cloud environment • Understand the Data integration requirements and support integration of NDR Tools data with other applications • Analyze the Data extraction methodologies from NDR Tools - Reports and API • Work with service delivery teams to configure NDR Tools for tenant agencies • Provide network engineering support and troubleshooting as it relates to NDR Tools integration • Create and maintain documentation for various audiences (Engineers, Operations, Agency, etc.) - Deployment, Configuration, Operation, and User Guides • Engage with NDR Tools vendors for all upgrades, support items, product updates and facilitate periodic Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) • The Subject Matter Expert (SME) for NDR Tools • Follow and perform Incident, problem and requirements management • Work with the Solution Architect to design and implement solutions that address customer constituency’s needs • Develop and implement product test strategies and documents results for new feature deployments Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• Bachelor's degree and 3 years’ work Experience as a Network/System Administrator, deploying, configuring, integrating and supporting NDR systems • Due to the nature of the contract requirements, US citizenship and successful passing of CGI background check is required prior to beginning work.
In addition, candidates must have ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance.
• Strong Domain knowledge of Logging, monitoring and Data integration in the context of NDR • Ideal candidate can mentor, teach and grow to support growing customer requirements • Must have great communication and documentation skills Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required.
• Security relevant certification, such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security+, CEH • Strong communication skills and a solid understanding of IT Security concepts to include vulnerability & patch management, security operations, Incident Management and Incident response.
• The candidate must be able to work with other team members and groups, work with competing priorities, and possess strong customer focus • Understanding of federal cybersecurity guidance such as NIST SP - Guide for Applying the Risk Management Framework to Federal Information Systems.
