What you’ll do We are seeking for a highly motivated and passionate Senior Software Engineer with a frontend focus to join our team that's focused on shaping and delivering the future of generative AI capabilities across our SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
Your responsibilities are.
Embracing a culture of automation by developing innovative solutions to ensure stable and scalable AI-based cloud services.
Making critical design decisions regarding underlying architecture for the frontend.
Collaborating with diverse teams to streamline and improve processes on the SAP BTP through frontend development of AI applications, leveraging your technical expertise to drive innovation.
Avoiding obstacles by adopting a problem-solving attitude and persistently seeking solutions.
Embracing a growth mindset and being open to learning new technologies and software development practices as they emerge, with a focus on generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI-augmented development, and relevant tools.

Skills and Experience On the technical level, a relevant subset of the listed skills is expected.
Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, with at least 3 years of professional experience in software development.
Extensive experience building responsive and user-friendly web applications using HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as SAP UI5, React, Angular, or Vue.

Strong understanding of modern front-end build tools like Webpack or Rollup and experience with bundling, minification, and optimization techniques.
Familiarity with state-of-the-art CSS preprocessors like Sass or Less, and proficiency in writing modular, reusable CSS code.
Experience with one or more modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks for UI components, such as Material-UI, Bootstrap, or Tailwind CSS.
Experience designing and implementing visually appealing and user-centered UI/UX designs, including.
Wireframing, Prototyping and Responsive Design Knowledge of RESTful API design principles and experience working with REST, oData or GraphQL.
APIs to fetch and display data from server-side services.
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
Evident problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to think critically and approach complex challenges in a methodical manner.
A strong desire to continuously learn and stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in front-end development, particularly in areas like generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI-augmented tools.
Fluency both written and spoken in English.
