Alstom has an immediate opening for an experienced lead planner that would like to take the next step in their career journey to join us as the Lead Project Planner in our Perth CBD office over 12 months as we deliver an integrated solution for our client BHP.
Working on the BHP Rail Technology Project, you will develop and update schedules in accordance with Alstom’s procedures, contractual requirements and stakeholder inputs.
You will lead regular project schedule review sessions, challenging project stakeholders' assumptions about time performance and seeking solutions to the benefit of all stakeholders.

You will be required to have flexibility and mobility in the workplace, as we deliver an integrated solution for our client BHP for the Rail Technology Project.
You will lead the preparation of schedule and progress reports, illustrating progress with relevant KPIs and the Earned Value Methodology (EVM).
Your future role Lead regular project schedule review sessions, challenging project stakeholders' assumptions about time performance and seeking solutions to the benefit of all stakeholders.
Prepare and analyse schedule and progress reports, illustrating progress with relevant KPIs and the Earned Value Methodology (EVM).
Collaboratively determining the preferred course of action to realise project planning goals, facilitating agreements with each affected stakeholder including provision of the required support to optimise the solution.
Maintaining transparent communication with the project senior management team Working diligently with the contracts team to eliminate any potential time related damages and penalties.
Identifying and taking action to build operational and strategic relationships with all stakeholders both internal and external.

Although rail experience would be an asset, we also invite individuals with an industrial, infrastructure, or a construction background to work with us to deliver an exceptional integrated solution for our client.
We would expect that applicants can demonstrate the following key attributes.
Engineering or Business Degree Senior experience as a lead/senior planner.
Advanced understanding and proficiency in Primavera P6.
Understanding of design engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning of complex technical solutions.
Ability to summarise and evaluate detailed project schedules to identify and explain the key factors affecting project performance.
Experience in applying EVM to schedules and preparing early and late progress S curves.
