We are seeking a passionate and skilled Junior Software Development Engineer for a 12-month fixed-term contract with a leading multi-national company.
This role is ideal for freelancers who thrive in a remote work environment and are eager to contribute to the development of high-quality software products.
The SDE will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities.
Collaborate Remotely.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and stakeholders, to understand requirements and develop software solutions.
Code Development.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
Code Reviews.
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
Testing.
Develop and maintain unit tests to validate software functionality and ensure reliability.
Problem Solving.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues in a timely manner.
Technology Integration.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and incorporate them into the development process as appropriate.
Documentation.
Document software designs, implementation details, and procedures to ensure clear communication and knowledge transfer.
Deployment Support.
Assist in the deployment and configuration of software applications as needed.
Continuous Improvement.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the software development process.
Basic Qualifications.
Experience.
1+ years of professional software development experience (not including internships).
Programming Skills.
Proficiency in at least one programming language.
Preferred Qualifications.
Education.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
