We are looking for Junior Research Fellow to join our group in the Lab-on-a-chip device for bacteria and AMR genes detection project of the Smartgnostics Agenda, under the PRR framework.
Job Duties The job duties will be the following.
Test the binding efficiency of phage proteins to bacteria present in food samples; Optimis e the capture of bacteria from food samples using magnetic nanoparticles in a microfluidic device; Conduct assays using an optofluidic device to detect bacteria in food samples.
Mandatory Qualifications   Education Master in Biological Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.
Experience and Technical Skills Experience in phage-based recognition probes; Experience in optical detection systems; Experience in microfluidic devices; Experience in microbiology.
Personal Skills “ Hands-on” approach together with a high commitment in respecting working deadlines; Problem Solving ability; Customer orientation; Ability to work independently and as team player; Good communication skills.
