About the Role.
We are currently looking for an Assistant for our International Payroll Department, working remotely from Portugal on a full-time teleworking basis for offices outside of Portugal.
While we are not specifically seeking extensive payroll experience, we value candidates with exceptional Excel proficiency who are eager to learn new procedures in an international environment.
The work will primarily be conducted in English and Spanish, so fluency in both languages is essential.
The candidate must be highly organized, comfortable with online collaboration with a team based in Spain, and have strong Excel skills.
What youll be doing.
Handling international payroll processes, social security, and payroll-related taxes (such as withholding taxes).
Leveraging advanced Excel skills to process information received from international clients or the international team, using Excel to create customized reports, data analysis, and payroll summaries.
Producing highly detailed reports and analyses in Excel, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Communicating with clients to resolve simple queries or, over time, more complex issues as you develop your skills.
Supporting the rest of the team with various tasks and contributing proactively to different projects or requests as needed.
There is also the potential for future involvement in the accounting department, depending on the candidates skills and growth.
What were looking for.
Highly organized individual with the ability to manage work efficiently in a remote setting.
Expert-level Excel proficiency, including the ability to handle complex formulas, data analysis, pivot tables, and report automation.
Comfortable with computer applications and willing to learn new tools.
Fluency in English and Spanish.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work well in a remote team environment.
Previous payroll experience is not required but is an advantage.
