Job Description Internal Tax Compliance Specialist At our Unit4 location in Lisbon we are looking to hire an Internal Tax Compliance Specialist for a 12-month period.
After this time the general finance department needs will be re-evaluated, and you might be rotated towards a more general finance function such as financial controller.
In this role ( hours per week) you are the central point of contact to make sure we remain compliant with CIT and VAT requirements with support from external advisors in the various jurisdictions.
You will, among others, handle the lesser complex corporate income tax declarations, support in making available information to allow for returns to be prepared locally, support in the preparation of VAT returns and be instrumental in managing the internal tax accounting processes.
What will you do Reporting into the Tax Compliance Manager (based in the Netherlands), you will work with the local and global finance teams to bring clarity, discipline and structure to the finance process related to tax compliance.
Prepare and track the tax position for the Group throughout the year; Prepare the tax accounting entries throughout the year and at year-end; Support on the Transfer Pricing compliance cycle; Review the VAT returns and positions of the group companies; and Pick up on other compliance activities where needed.
Qualifications We ask Enthusiastic professional eager to learn on the job; Minimum of Bachelor education in finance or tax; 2-4 years’ experience, preferably with a big4 firm or corporate multinational; Experience with (complex) CIT returns, VAT returns and Tax reporting packages; Experience with creating reports and successfully operating within a matrix environment; Excellent communication in English and interpersonal skills with the confidence and resilience to interact with the international finance team.
