The Global Head of IT Infrastructure reports directly to the CDIO.
They are responsible and accountable for proper function and availability of all IT Infrastructure components, and the timely delivery of projects related to infrastructure or that require internal resources.
This position demands a broad technical expertise combined with strategic planning, finance acumen and leadership skills to ensure the efficient and innovative use of technology across the company.
It is important to highlight, the most relevant technologies.
Multiple Cloud Providers, physical datacenters, networking and security.
It is also relevant to have knowledge of known Governance/Management frameworks like ITIL, TOGAF, COBIT5.
Key responsibilities will include.
- Ensuring fit for purpose Infrastructure.
- Delivering first class IT service - Cost efficiency and budget management - Risk Management and Cybersecurity - Team leadership (management and development of a high performing team - Innovation and Technology Leadership The successful candidate.
- Has end-to-end accountability for the Build & Run of IT infrastructure Solutions.
- Has end-to-end accountability for round the clock level 3 support in all IT Infrastructure domains.
- Delivers infrastructure to support the business programmes to cost, time and quality.
- Provides leadership in the evolution of each IT service area to ensure the provided services and support capability meet business demand.
- Sets the direction, strategy, and targets for ongoing operational improvement in ConvaTec IT Infrastructure.
- Negotiates strategic enterprise agreements for key technology partners.
- Builds trusted relationships with IT vendors to deliver new products, services, and capabilities.
- Proactively works with senior stakeholders across all functions and business units to define the broader Infrastructure requirement across markets, customers, employees, external stakeholder, and suppliers.
• Enables and champion a service delivery culture, promote ongoing service improvements, to improve quality and client satisfaction.
• Builds and drives a high-performance culture across business, suppliers, contractors, and permanent staff to ensure single-minded focus on the outcomes.
• Manages the performance of the team, as well as promote and support career development.
We are looking for the following in our successful candidate.
Strong experience working in IT Infrastructure or IT Operations.
Deep expertise in several IT areas (Cloud, Datacenters, Networking and Monitoring) Proven experience in leading global highly technical teams (preferably geographically dispersed) Demonstrated familiarity with relevant emerging technologies.
Demonstrated ability to deliver a culture of service excellence and customer centricity.
Experience in managing teams, including coaching and development of team members.
Education/Technical skills.
