FUNCTIONAL TESTER

Position Description.
Job Title.
Functional tester Experience Level.
4 to 8 years We are seeking a highly skilled functional ester with strong expertise in testing processes, SQL, and a basic understanding of DevOps practices.
This role is critical to ensuring the quality and efficiency of our data integration and automation projects.
Key Responsibilities.
• • SQL Expertise.
Write complex SQL queries to verify data correctness and perform thorough back-end testing of databases.
• Test Planning & Execution.
Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports.
Perform both functional and non-functional testing.
• Defect Tracking.
Identify, log, and track defects in collaboration with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Collaboration.
Work closely with developers, data engineers, and product owners to understand requirements and improve overall product quality.
• Continuous Improvement.
Stay updated with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and best practices to enhance the automation testing framework.
Qualifications.
• Experience.
4+ years of experience in automation testing with a focus on ETL, data warehousing, or big data environments.
• Technical Skills.
Basic proficiency in SQL for complex queries and database testing.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, etc.
• Analytical Skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in identifying issues and ensuring data accuracy.
• Communication.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively within a team and with stakeholders.
• Education.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications are a plus.
Good to have.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
