Position Description.
We are Canada's largest independent information technology services firm, and after 45 years, we're still growing! Join us as a "Enterprise Data Architect".
This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our client location in Markham at a minimum 2-3 days per week - subject to change at any time.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
• Develop and implement data architecture strategies that align with the company’s business goals.
• Lead the design and implementation of data solutions, ensuring they meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions with existing systems and processes.
• Monitor and optimize data architecture to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Stay updated with emerging data technologies and assess their potential impact on the organization.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and other team members.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory requirements.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• Strong Enterprise Architecture skills • Proficient in data platform capabilities, data lifecycle management, data retention, data modeling, data product/Data as a Product concept and medallion architecture pattern • Knowledgeable in cloud computing and modern development practices.
• Skilled in solutions converting data (e.
.
Personal Policy data) from legacy systems to modern platforms (i.
.
Guidewire PolicyCenter) • Experienced with data science platforms and DSML capabilities for model development, MLOps, etc.
