ob DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTIONAs part of the hotel's key leadership team, the Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for planning and overseeing all Commercial activities, maximizing topline revenue from all areas of the hotel.
HAT YOU WILL BE DOINGReporting to the General Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to.
trategic Planning & ExecutionDevelop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies that align with the hotel's goals and brand identity.
nalyze market trends and competitor strategies to identify new business opportunities and target markets.
ead annual budgeting and forecasting processes for the sales and marketing departments, setting clear objectives and tracking performance.
repare and implement annual marketing plan, setting clear objectives and tracking performance.
ultivate a strong relationship with ownership and provide regular updates on strategic initiatives and performance metrics to instill confidence in the direction of the hotel.
ales Leadership & Revenue GenerationLead the sales team to meet or exceed revenue targets through direct sales, group bookings, corporate partnerships and events.
stablish and maintain relationships with key clients, travel agencies, corporate partners, and luxury consortia to drive business.
evelop and sustain essential relationships within the community, such as with the Convention and Visitors Bureau, to enhance the positioning of the hotel.
artner with Director of Revenue Management to set pricing strategies and maximize Total RevPAR.
oordinate initiatives in conjunction with Global Sales teams and consultants as appropriate.
arketing & Brand ManagementOversee brand-positioning efforts, ensuring all guest touchpoints reflect the luxury and quality of the brand.
n partnership with PR and media companies, design and execute marketing campaigns across digital, social, print, and PR channels to increase brand awareness and guest engagement with the hotel as a whole and a focus on Toro Restaurant and Fairmont Gold.
ollaborate with external PR and media agencies to enhance the hotel's visibility and reputation in the luxury market.
eam Leadership & DevelopmentManage, mentor, and develop the sales and marketing team, fostering a high-performance culture.
onduct regular training and performance reviews to ensure the team remains motivated and focused on achieving goals.
romote a collaborative environment, working closely with other departments (e.
., operations, finance) to ensure a seamless guest experience.
nalytics & ReportingUse data-driven insights to measure the effectiveness of sales and marketing efforts, making adjustments to optimize performance.
repare regular reports and presentations for the executive team and ownership, providing insights on revenue performance, market trends, and ROI.
onitor customer satisfaction metrics, adjusting strategies to meet and exceed guest expectations.
ualificationsQUALIFICATIONS.
revious experience in a senior leadership role, within a similar hotel brand required.
xtensive Hotel operations experience required.
emonstrated knowledge of budget planning and financial controls.
omputer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required.
niversity/College degree in a related discipline preferred.
trong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
