Job Description For Director of Sales(HOZ) in Brooklyn,United States.
Additional Information.
This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Troutbrook.
The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.
The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.
If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.
ob descriptionAs our Sales Manager, working with the General Manager, you will leading the revenue efforts for the hotel.
Responsibilities include attaining new business (and maintain existing), assisting with negotiating group rates and contracts, selling meeting space and cultivate relationships with conference, special corporate, leisure, and community partners through direct client contact and over the phone with the goal of maximizing total revenue and ensuring sales goal are met and exceeded.

ttend appropriate trade shows, Tourism and Chamber association mixersDevelopment of new business through various proactive direct sales and marketing efforts, such as tele-prospecting calls, and site toursOutside sales calls to area businesses to attract corporate accounts, team training experiences, weddings and other events that occupy both meeting space and sleeping rooms.
evelop and follow annual sales and marketing planManage accounts proficiently and accuratelyUse STS tool and property PMS systems for updating and tracking accounts.
Prepare weekly reports and utilize revenue reporting systems.
espond promptly and professionally to all inquiries for group room blocks and meetings with information and prepare proposals / contracts to secure the business.
elp maximize revenue by focusing on business that will fill shoulder nights and need times.
uild and strengthen relationships with existing and new client base.
repare group resume and brief front desk staff on incoming groups, requirements and needs.
ttend weekly revenue management meetings and provide direction and oversight on pricing strategies.
Participate in Sales and hotel meetings.
evelop strong relationships with on property front office team to ensure working in unity and always striving to achieve the same goals.
erform additional tasks as requested by General Manager and Management Company.

xperienceA minimum of 2 years previous hotel sales experience, IHG experience highly desired.
