Position Description.
CGI is seeking a Director of Business Consulting with a strong background in strategy and advisory.
As the Director, Business Consulting, you will have senior responsibility for leading the entire life cycle of sales and delivery for a portfolio of consulting projects our International Affairs business unit.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead high-impact projects for major government clients and shape the future of CGI's Business and Strategic Consulting business within the business unit.
**This career opportunity is located at one of our CGI offices in the Washington DC Metro area (Fairfax or Arlington) and the client site as needed** Your future duties and responsibilities.
• Own the client experience from proposal to delivery, ensuring successful project execution and high client satisfaction.
• Develop and execute a strategic client growth plan to secure new business and expand existing accounts within the portfolio.
• Lead proposals and evolve solution offerings to ensure CGI delivers best-in-class solutions to clients.
• Lead and mentor a team of approximately 12 consultants, fostering their professional growth and development while managing project delivery through both onshore resources and vendor partners.
• Manage client satisfaction in partnership with account management teams, applying best practices in delivery and customer management.
• Apply proven management practices, including succession planning, performance reviews, financial management, and contributing to business strategy and budget planning.
• Ensure the profitability of client engagements.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience in consulting services.
• Results-oriented business leader with a solid understanding of budgets, forecasting, planning, P&L's, and strategic pricing models.
• Proven track record of business development and client relationship management, from ground-level project teams up to C-level executives, in the areas of business and strategic consulting (e.
., CFO advisory, CIO Advisory, AI Advisory, OCM) is preferred.
• Experience with delivery or business development within the federal government; Department of State (preferred).
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, at all levels.
• Proven ability to manage and mentor a team.
• Strong decision making, judgment, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively with cross-functional hybrid teams.
• Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications.
To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role.
