Role and Responsibilities Collaborate within the Data Office, in particular as part of the Engineering and Platforms team, to support the successful roll-out of the Transformation Program; Design, build, and maintain scalable batch or real-time data pipelines and workflows that collect, process, store and distribute datasets; Develop tools and frameworks for other engineers and users to enhance efficiency; Support machine learning model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management, ensuring integration with data pipelines; Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems to ensure efficient data processing; Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, IT professionals, and other stakeholders to understand business, data and technical requirements and translate them into effective Solution Designs and Data Products; Implement data validation methods and ensure compliance with data governance and security policies; Document and communicate technical processes, architecture, and data flows.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications Higher degree in IT, Management, Engineering, or a related field; 4+ years of demonstrated experience as a Data Engineer or similar role; Strong knowledge of SQL to solve highly complex problems in an optimized way; Proficiency in programming languages used in Data/ML (e.
., Python, Java, Scala); Programming skills and knowledge of Data Engineering tools (e.
., dbt, Airflow, Spark) and cloud-based platforms (e.
., AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks); Knowledge of DataOps practices (e.
., CI/CD, automated testing, version control); Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels.
