BUSINESS ANALYST AND QUALITY ASSURANCE

We are looking for Business Analyst and Quality Assurance to join our company in one of our projects, in the mobility sector, in Lisbon.
Team We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst with strong Quality Assurance (QA) skills to join our dynamic team.
This hybrid role is perfect for someone who excels in understanding business processes and translating them into functional requirements while also ensuring the quality and accuracy of software solutions.
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, driving high-quality software development and successful project outcomes.
Tasks.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, define, and document business requirements.
Analyze and map current business processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Develop detailed functional specifications and user stories for software development teams.
Ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions, providing clear communication and clarification when needed.
Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on the business requirements.
Perform various types of testing (e.
., functional, regression, user acceptance, and performance testing).
Identify, log, and track defects through the lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
Conduct root cause analysis for identified defects and recommend improvements.
Work closely with development teams to ensure issues are understood and fixed according to quality standards.
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, and QA teams.
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives within an Agile environment.
Communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Provide regular status updates and reports on project progress, risks, and issues.
Requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong understanding of business processes and systems.
Hands-on experience in Quality Assurance processes, tools, and best practices.
Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, especially Agile or Scrum.
Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.
., JIRA, Bugzilla) and test management tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to understand and document business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Proficient in developing and executing test plans and cases.
Knowledge of testing frameworks, methodologies, and tools.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Experience with automated testing tools.
Certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board).
Fluency in English (mandatory).
