The system will involve the following components.
1.
Motor Selection.
A motor powerful enough to lift a 20 kg weight vertically.
This may include selecting a DC motor or stepper motor suitable for the load.
2.
Motor Control.
The system should be controlled via an Arduino, with the ability to control both the direction and speed of the motor.
3.
Transmission System.
The motor will be connected to a belt and gear system to achieve the necessary torque to lift the bars.
The engineer should design the appropriate gear ratios.
4.
Driver and Power Supply.
The motor should be controlled through an appropriate motor driver (such as L298N or equivalent) and powered by an external power supply that suits the motor’s requirements.
5.
Safety Features.
Ensure that the system is safe, efficient, and reliable, including consideration for overcurrent protection, motor overheating, and other potential issues.
6.
User Interface.
Depending on the design, the system should allow for manual control via a potentiometer, button, or a more automated control method.
