ANALYST, QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST

Position Description.
We are looking for a bilingual Quality Assurance Specialist in Montreal.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
Lead the development and monitoring of test strategies and plans for deliverables, both for data migration and application tests.
Manage and develop onboarding material and tools for the project team.
Insure approved QA approach and deliverables are understood by the project team and properly implemented.
Support in the Identification and creation of the test data required for each test scenario.
Write test scenarios and ensure the manual and/or automated execution of tests, producing test evidence.
Analyze anomalies, develop fixes, complete unit tests, and document the correction solution.
Maintain the test case library (in Azure DevOps).
Ensure compliance with the testing process.
Participate in the continuous improvement of QA-related processes and tools.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
Academic Background Hold a diploma of college studies (DEC) or a bachelor s degree in computer science, software engineering, statistics or mathematics and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience in a technical role.
Seniority Intermediate or Senior Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in software quality control.
Experience as an analyst and tester in creating and executing manual and automated tests.
Experience at all levels of testing (functional and non-functional, API and Web UI testing).
Experience writing and executing test scenarios and documenting results.
Experience working in continuous integration & continuous deployment environments.
Experience in an agile delivery team, preferably with Scrum.
Experience working with test automation tools (Record and Playback) is an asset.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors) Knowledge of GIT is required.
Knowledge of databases (SQL) is required.
Knowledge of web technologies is required.
Knowledge and experience in programming and scripting languages.
Excellent understanding of QA processes and best practices.
Ability to document and train others on testing methodologies.
Ability to create test scenarios (manual and automated).
Ability to interpret results and integrate test follow-up reports.
Familiar with Gherkin language and developing test scenarios using the BDD process.
Knowledge of database technologies (SQL server, Oracle, Snowflake).
Knowledge of Azure DevOps.
Knowledge of the development lifecycle and their specifics.
Proficiency in spoken and written English and French.
Knowledge of JSON, PowerShell is an asset.
Knowledge of public markets, private markets, investment operations, investment accounting and investment analytics is an asset.
Excellent French and English language communication skills (spoken and written).
