We are seeking an Accountant specialist to join our team.
You will add value and will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the General Ledger and financial statements.
This includes performing month-end activities, calculating and posting journals (including accruals), GL account reconciliations, reviewing and analysing the General Ledger.
What you'll do? Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly and annual basis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Process journal entries related to various financial transactions, including accruals, adjustments, and provisions, ensuring compliance with accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP).
Support local team on provisions for expenses, liabilities, and other financial obligations, ensuring timely and accurate recording in the financial systems.
Prepare, analyze, and submit financial reports.
Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met and financial data is accurate.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure intercompany reconciliations and other related transactions are completed timely.
Support audit processes by providing documentation and explanations for key transactions, reports, and account balances.
Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the financial operations.
What are we looking for? Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field.
At least 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a Global Business Services (GBS) or shared services environment.
Proven experience as an accountant.
Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices (IFRS) Strong financial, analytical and communication skills.
Self-organisation and time management Full proficiency with Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook Knowledge of ERP systems, processes and workflow technology Ability to work unsupervised and deliver high quality work to tight deadlines Language Skills.
