TEST LEAD

Position Description.
Responsibilities.
As a CGI Test Lead, you will work with functional area leads, technical leads, and deployment leads to seamlessly bring a project to UAT.
You will work on all test related activities across the testing area including INT (integration testing), API testing, DB testing, UAT testing and automation testing (UFT and Selenium) Responsibilities include.
• Developing and adapting the testing approach and strategy.
• Review and document business requirements with various business and technical stakeholders related to testing (from functional technical review meetings).
• Preparation of estimates based on BRD, review of estimates from Peers.
(Detailed estimates, ROM - rough order of magnitude).
• Ensure requirements are accurately translated into test plans/test scripts/data that support project requirements.
• Define the scope of testing for offshore projects and any third parties (who may be involved in or affected by the project).
• Translate requirements into business scenarios/test cases.
• Planning, developing, creating and executing test scripts for different phases and types of tests.
• Leading all phases of test execution for all releases, including test coordination, test communication, defect management and status reporting • Supporting the development team in debugging and reproducing critical issues.
Required skills.
• Manual testing/automated testing.
• Preferably in the area of Asset Finance • Good knowledge of various types of release and change management processes, including Agile/Scrum, Waterfall and Iterative.
• Working experience with ALM, JIRA, SNOW, etc.
tools related to test management and defect management.
(Preferably UFT& Selenium) • Experience in managing and performing sanity testing, system integration testing (SIT), API testing, DB testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) and regression testing for complex releases.
• Ability to apply both business and functional knowledge and develop end-to-end testing strategies.
• Experience working with third party applications and managing third party software in relation to testing • Effective project planning and execution.
• Knowledge of test automation methodologies, frameworks, and the application of automated testing principles in the execution of tests is an added advantage.
Required qualifications and experience.
• - 6 - 8+ years of experience and proven performance in software testing and projects.
• - 3 years of experience leading test teams.
• - Good experience with SQL queries and back-end testing.
• - Experience working with technical team during system design and development activities.
• - Experience of working in a distributed environment (e.
.
onshore, offshore etc.) • - Solid networking, influencing and communication skills.
• - Mentoring junior staff and bringing them up to speed.
• - Fluency in English Skills.
