The Team-Lead General Ledger Accountant reports to the EIMEA Record to Report Manager and has to ensure that the Financial Statements of the companies for which he/she oversees are prepared on a timely and accurate manner for both Statutory and USGAAP purposes.
Team-Lead General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting team, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with financial regulations.
This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Primary Responsibilities.
Supervise and mentor a team of accountants.
Ensure that Monthly, Quarterly and Year-End Financial Statements are prepared in accordance with both USGAAP and Statutory accounting principles within the timelines set in cooperation with Management and other functions.
Ensure that the Financial Statements give a true and fair view of the company’s business.
Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis, guaranteeing that all the supporting documentation are in place.
Prepare Monthly, Quarterly and Year-End Financial Analytical Reviews.
Ensure the preparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliations on a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure that Statutory Annual Accounts are submitted on time to local authorities by the team.
Coordinate and support the team with external auditors during audits and ensure all required documentation is provided.
Ensure that Tax Returns are filed in on time and in cooperation with local tax advisors as well Direct Tax Team.
Ensure compliance with other local statutory and tax requirements (e.

National Statistic questionnaires; VAT Declarations, among others).
Ensure that all RTR internal controls are compliant with SOX Requirements.
Ensure that team have effective controls implements for Foreign Currencies deviations and grant the proper reporting to Corporate Team.
Improving processes and controls of Finance Information Systems and Internal Controls with objective of simplifying and standardizing the accounting structure and enhancing accuracy of the financial statements.
Support development of Accounting Team.
Employees Supervised Direct 3/4 Reports Minimum Requirements.
Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or another related field.
Strong accounting technical background with a Professional Accounting Qualification (CPA or equivalent qualification).
Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting or finance preferably in multinational companies or Shared Services Centers.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
Excellent written and spoken English Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP is a plus.
Organized, Motivated and Professional.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
