SYSTEM/APPLICATION ADMINISTRATOR

Position Description.
CGI are currently seeking a System/Application Administrator with valid TSPV security clearance to come and join our team in Canberra.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
As a System/Application Administrator working for CGI in Canberra, your future duties and responsibilities might include.
System Maintenance and Optimization.
Managing and maintaining CGI's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and application systems.
This involves regularly monitoring system performance, applying patches and updates, and optimizing configurations to ensure high availability, reliability, and efficiency of all systems under your purview.
Application Deployment and Support.
Leading the deployment, configuration, and support of various enterprise applications used by CGI and its clients.
You'll be responsible for ensuring these applications are properly integrated with existing systems, troubleshooting issues, and providing ongoing support to end-users to ensure smooth operation and minimal downtime.
Security and Compliance Management.
Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect CGI's systems and applications from potential threats.
This includes conducting regular security audits, managing access controls, and ensuring that all systems comply with relevant government regulations and industry standards, especially given Canberra's role as a center for government operations.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
- Database administration experience including Elasticsearch.
- Experience with configuration and management of VMWare vSphere and/or Hyper-V virtualisation environments.
- Experience with network attached storage appliances including NetApp systems.
- Network infrastructure configuration including firewall and switch management.
- Security application sustainment support experience including Nuix, Splunk or Stroom.
- Extensive experience with ICT system administration and development to provide SME advice and support to ITIS analysts and management.

Red Hat Linux, Kubernetes, Docker experience is also desirable.

Create, maintain and upgrade governance documentation suites relating to data, application, system and security administration.
