Job Description For Steward/Dishwasher(HOZ) in Austin,United States.
Description SummaryA Dishwasher exceeds expectations by completing tasks that include but are not limited to cleaning dishes, kitchen, food preparation equipment, and utensils.
This position works closely with both the front of house and back of house teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
The person having this position must have good communication skills, the ability to resolve conflict and a thorough understanding of Bunkhouse policies.
All Bunkhouse employees are expected to greet all guests and make each feel important by providing a genuine welcome.
Furthermore, Dishwashers must develop and maintain the company's culture, values and reputation in the public eye, and with all staff, guests, vendors and partners.
Dishwashers must promote the Bunkhouse Vision in all actions and decisions.
nowledge, Skills, and Abilities.
ix (6) months related experience in hospitality or service industry• Ability to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence• Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or guests Bunkhouse is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.

Keep tables clear of dishes and food remnantsWash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by handPlace clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areasMaintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly conditionStock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and salad barsSweep and scrub floorsClean garbage cans with water or steamSort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areasAssist in unloading deliveries (food and supplies)Ensure open lines of communication via email, logbooks, meetings, etc., to ensure all needs of the restaurant are metMaintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work areaEnsure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working conditionMaintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the propertyKeep abreast of safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirementsAttend relevant meetingsBased upon fluctuating demands of the operation and to exceed customer expectations, it may be necessary to perform a multitude of different functions not specifically related to this position.
This person may be expected to perform other tasks and duties as needed or as directed.
