Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services.
With more than patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and Cloud RAN).
You will be part of a new team in MN RAN R&D BBSoC Unit responsible for leading piece of SW to meet the expected Definition of Done for Cloud RAN applications.
We are looking for a seasoned and skilled senior software engineer.
You would be working with specifying, designing, implementing and testing software.
You also support our program planning and agile activities in the team.
You are also expected to participate and be involved in other technical areas such as open-source community in the whole BBSoC RCP Platform product suite.
* Innovating, developing, productizing, delivering & maintaining the best Radio Cloud O-RAN and Cloud RAN products to achieve a clear leadership position in Radio Cloud Platforms and Applications * Successful execution of Cloud RAN Programs * Leverage open-source communities like OPNFV, O-RAN, OCP to achieve technology leadership * Achieve Business targets for Cloud RAN HW and SW products Position.

Currently a candidate finishing their MSc degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical engineering, or a related field with an accredited school * Supporting the implementation of features and contributing to the integration of software components within the assigned domain, based on product backlogs and specifications.
* Assisting in system design and architecture discussions to gain exposure to best practices.
* Collaborating with global SW development teams in planning and organizing tasks.
* Contributing to the platform, DevOps processes, and continuous integration activities.
* Assisting in testing (unit, component, and integration) to ensure software reliability.
* Learning and applying industry-standard Quality Assurance best practices for testing methodologies.
* Participating in internal improvement projects, initiatives, and task forces as needed.
* Supporting the planning and design of test area coverage under guidance.
* Assisting in customer case reproduction and investigation to identify issues.
* Contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the team.
* Learning how to assess software quality and assist in the development of test tools to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
* Assisting in interface adaptation, testing, and troubleshooting tool development (Python), as well as supporting build-time optimization.
* Identifying potential areas for internal process improvements and proposing ideas when applicable Requerimientos del candidato/a.
* Proactive and eager to learn, with the ability to work independently when needed.
* Enthusiastic about software development and testing, with a willingness to gain hands-on experience in these areas.
* Understanding of software development best practices and an interest in learning how they impact high-quality software.
* Basic knowledge or coursework experience in C++, Golang, Python, and Linux environments (experience in scripting/coding in any language is a plus).
* Curious about cloud-native computing (e.
., Kubernetes, CNCF concepts) and cloud infrastructure technologies (RedHat, AWS, Azure, GCP)
