Position Description.
Position Summary.
At CGI we are looking for the creative and passionate Software Developer with a proven background in Agile/Waterfall development.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced and challenging environment and be able to work directly with clients and other CGI team members so communication and presentation skills are equally as key as the proven technical excellence that this candidate must demonstrate.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
Responsibilities.
• Apply software development skills to help the team produce quality, on-time deliverables and apply root cause analysis to track down story bugs and production issues.
Using an eye for quality and an attention to detail, helps build reliable and fault tolerant, extensible applications backed by unit testing and test automation.
• Translate acceptance criteria of stories into technical implementations • Emphasize working software over gold plated solutions • Provide root cause analysis for defects and production issues • Participate in peer reviews to ensure implementations align to story goals and conform to standards • Strive to produce high quality, on time software by utilizing unit tests and partnering with QA to meet acceptance criteria • Engage in design conversations and offer solutions that meet our criteria and architectural goals • Actively participate in team retros to highlight successes and discuss potential improvements • Help implement and maintain a continuous delivery process focused on zero down time for customers • Collaborate to produce code and design standards • Ability to adapt quickly to changing processes and technologies • Participate in the full SDLC from requirements gathering to testing and delivery • Collaborate with Functional Analysts, Product Owners, Quality Advocates, Solutions Architects, other development teams and business users • Work autonomously to provide technical implementations for defined solutions • Clearly and effectively communicate progress, blockers and knowledge gaps • Provide mentorship to junior team members in product areas and technical skills you are more familiar Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
Skills Needed.
• Large-scale platform integration with Oracle ERP • Salesforce platform knowledge (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud) • Marketing Cloud integrations • Sales Flows • Javascript • Python • SQL • HTML • Github • Java • React • Springboot • An understanding of relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL database, Oracle DB, as well as NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with SQL.
• They must write data definition and data manipulation commands like create, delete, select, update, insert, etc.
• JIRA • Service Now • Critical thinker with strong analytical skills; accurate and probing • Good communicator, listener and negotiator.
• Focused, reliable and dependable in meeting objectives.
