SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER IN TEST

Position description As a Principal/Lead SDET, you will collaborate cross-functionally to influence product design and release planning.
You will drive the creation of advanced test automation frameworks, design and implement automated test strategies, and mentor others in best practices.
Your work will support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring robust and efficient software testing practices that align with business goals.
Responsibilities.
-Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, software architects, developers, and manual testers to contribute to release planning and software design.
-Take ownership of creating, designing, and developing test automation frameworks that align with engineering best practices.
-Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, formulating and automating test case scenarios.
-Mentor, coach, and guide team members in automated testing best practices, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
-Build and develop tooling to assist both manual and automated testing efforts.
-Integrate and execute automated tests as part of CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid and reliable software delivery.
-Create and maintain test automation dashboards, reporting on key metrics to drive release quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications.
-8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on test automation, test tooling, and infrastructure.
-Strong development background and experience in Agile methodologies, with proficiency in at least one common programming language (C#, Java, Python, JavaScript) along with HTML and CSS.
-Familiarity with Azure and AWS cloud platforms is desirable.
-Deep understanding of software testing methodologies and tools.
-Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
-Hands-on experience managing CI/CD pipelines and working with version control systems such as Git.
-Proven experience with load, stress, and performance testing.
-Proficiency in scripting and creating automation scripts.
-ISTQB/ISEB certification is desirable but not required.
-Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and competing priorities proactively.
-Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and contribute to stakeholder discussions.
