SENIOR QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST

Our CGI-BC team has an opening for a Quality Assurance Analyst who will deliver exceptional quality assurance services to our clients.
This team collaborates to implement functional and automated testing processes as part of a standard quality management practice.
Successful candidates will have a keen eye for quality and an explicit understanding of QA methodologies and continuous process improvement.
Your experience includes a career rooted in Quality Management, Test execution, QA Test automation, Quality Assurance and a history of teaming with business analysts, software developers and business experts.
Your familiarity of Agile Software Development will tie into an IP/methodology of integrating functional and automated testing into the software development and testing life cycles.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
• Deliver on traditional quality gates and DevOps CI/CD tooling, test automation, code review, Smoke tests, improving the usability of CI/CD pipelines and ISO industry standards of practice • Analyze test results, identify root causes of issues, provide recommendations for optimization, and run defect remediations • Recommend prioritization of issues with the team, for future and current development while honoring the Business vision, milestones, and objectives • Maintain clear, consistent reporting and communication style.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• 8+ years of strong, demonstrable experience working as a Quality engineer or SDET in a project environment • Execute manual of all tests not automated (such as exploratory tests) • When needed, execute automation tests; • Report the defects associated with the execution of test cases (manual); • Analyze the test results (manual) and ensure that all the requirements have been met; • Record the test results (defects and test cases); • Retest the fixed defects, including regression testing; • Report any issue or risks to QA Program Lead immediately upon identification.
Technical skills.
• UI Test Automation (Selenium) • BDD (Cucumber, Cucumber-JVM, Cucumber.
s, Gherkin) • REST API test automation (REST Assured, SOAP UI etc.) • Scripting (Shell, Python, Java) • Practical use of cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure • Database (SQL – writing basic queries to validate data etc.) • Test management tools (JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, HP QC etc.) • Test scenarios and test case writing • DevOps (CI/CD pipeline basics using Jenkins Nice to Have.
• Knowledge of quality engineering and the deployment of solutions for retail back-office systems and applications that support Planning, Merchandising, Master Data Management, Analytics & Data science to assist in product creation • Programming (Java or.
ET) • Document management (Confluence, Share point etc.) • Cloud deployment tools (AWS, Azure or GCP – Basic knowledge of EC2, CloudFormation etc.) • Cloud data management (AWS S3, RDS etc.) Education and Certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent, and/or strong in computer science fundamentals of algorithm design, programming constructs, problem-solving, US principles, etc.
• Certifications.
ITIL 4, ITSQB CTAL with Agile, Automation and/or Quality Management CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licensure and certifications.
