SENIOR PLATFORM ENGINEER

Main Tasks and Responsibilities.
* Design and Development.
Architect and develop robust cloud platform solutions that meet business requirements, with a strong emphasis on automation tools.
* Infrastructure Patterns.
Oversee the deployment, management, and monitoring of cloud infrastructure, ensuring correct usage patterns, including regulatory compliance, high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
* Automation.
Implement and optimize automation tools and frameworks such as Crossplane and Terraform to streamline operations and improve efficiency and compliance.
* Collaboration.
Work closely with software developers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate and optimize cloud solutions.
* Platform Observability.
Ensure correct observability patterns are used throughout the platform, including anomaly detection, automated remediation and incident escalation policies.
* Performance Monitoring.
Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
* Documentation.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of the architecture, processes, and procedures.
* Mentorship.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on the team.
* Collaboration.
Work effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in platform engineering and 4 years in the underlying technologies, with a focus on cloud technologies and automation tools.
* Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
* Strong proficiency in Kubernetes and container orchestration.
* Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Crossplane and Terraform.
* Experience with GitOps patterns.
* Proficient in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
