SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER (NL + ENG)

Senior Network Engineer  Location.
Brussels, Belgium Hybrid.
2-3 times a week on the client´s office Candidates must possess European nationality or a valid work permit for Belgium Mandatory Languages.
One of the national languages (Dutch and French) must be the mother tongue, and the other language must be understood and readable Role Overview You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructures that align with our organizational goals and meet the needs of our clients.
As a senior member of the team, you will bring your extensive expertise in network management and solutions to the forefront, guiding junior engineers and providing leadership in addressing complex networking challenges.
Your strategic vision will play a key role in optimizing our network performance, enhancing security measures, and ensuring reliable connectivity across all platforms.
Responsibilities - Design, implement, and manage network solutions to meet performance and availability requirements.
- Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex network issues to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to network configurations, system standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with IT architects and other teams to define networking strategies and establish a roadmap for future initiatives.
- Evaluate new networking technologies and recommend enhancements to improve network efficiency and security.
- Monitor network performance, conduct regular assessments, and provide recommendations for optimization and upgrades.
- Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 4+ years of proven experience in network design, implementation, and management in a senior capacity.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and routing protocols.
- Experience with network security frameworks and practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, and encryption technologies.
- Certification in relevant networking technologies (e.
., CCNP, CCIE, Juniper, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Senior Expertise using.
Azure Networking, Cisco technologies, Fortinet solutions, ITSM frameworks, VMware infrastructure - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to resolve critical network issues.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
