SENIOR DEVOPS ENGINEER (AWS)

The Role.
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong AWS knowledge for one of our clients.

What we’re looking for.
5+ years of experience in a DevOps or cloud engineering role.
Proven expertise in AWS services and architecture, including hands-on experience with large-scale deployments.
Strong proficiency with AWS services (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, CloudFormation, etc.).
Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.
., Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or ECS.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, CircleCI, or AWS CodePipeline.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.
., CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus).
Nice-to-have skills.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer certifications.
Experience with hybrid cloud environments or multi-cloud strategies.
Familiarity with cost optimization strategies in AWS.
Knowledge of security compliance standards such as SOC2, GDPR, or HIPAA.
Responsibilities.
Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure on AWS.
Build and maintain VPCs, EC2 instances, RDS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, and other AWS services.
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategies are in place.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
Automate operational processes with tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Create scripts to streamline deployment, monitoring, and maintenance tasks.
Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
Automate software build, test, and deployment processes.
Integrate CI/CD pipelines with monitoring and alerting systems.
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.
Ensure adherence to security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance requirements.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts.
