Position Description.
CGI Federal is seeking a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Healthcare Practice.
This role demands a candidate with extensive technical expertise, particularly in working with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) or in Healthcare domain.
The successful candidate will be part of a large, dynamic team, contributing to various projects including AWS migration/upgrade, and the development and maintenance of mission-critical applications in the Federal healthcare sector.
The work environment is a SAFe Agile setting with well-established DevSecOps practices.
The supported products must handle high traffic volumes and maintain 99% availability.
**This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.** Your future duties and responsibilities.
• Daily DevOps Tasks.
Collaborate with a team to support two product teams, focusing primarily on Cloud Operations with AWS and automation.
• Automation Scripting.
Develop scripts to automate functionalities and features.
• System Design and Implementation.
Design and implement development and testing environments.
• Developer Collaboration.
Work closely with developers to gather feedback and assess software conditions.
• Deployment Management.
Perform deployments in both Implementation and Production environments.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Create scripts to establish AWS infrastructure as needed.
• Process Improvement.
Enhance current deployment and monitoring processes to improve software delivery.
• Innovation and Cost Reduction.
Collaborate with the team to innovate and improve the current state, aiming to reduce operational costs for clients Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• AWS Expertise.
Must have hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, EKS, MWAA, RDS Aurora Postgres, Redshift, NLB, Secrets Manager, and Fargate.
• CI/CD Pipelines.
Proven experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, and other open-source tools.
• Infrastructure as Code.
Experience in provisioning AWS resources using Terraform and/or CloudFormation scripts.
• Cloud Monitoring.
Proficiency in cloud infrastructure monitoring using tools like Splunk, New Relic, and CloudWatch.
• Argo Workflow.
Experience with Argo Workflow.
• Containerization.
Experience with containerization tools such as Docker.
• AWS Services Development.
Ability to design, implement, develop, and maintain AWS services-based solutions in emerging technologies.
• Technical Communication.
Capable of driving technical discussions, explaining best approaches to solutions, and presenting product options to meet customer needs, including non-technical stakeholders.
• Serverless Archite Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required.
• Python Scripting.
Experience in scripting with Python.
• Data Lakes/Warehouses.
Experience with configuring data lakes or data warehouses.
