SENIOR DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR - DALLAS, TX

Position Description.
This position is based out of Dallas, TX with work performed onsite at our client location in Dallas.
However, a hybrid working model is accepted.
CGI is looking for a senior DBA with hands-on MySQL and Oracle experience in administering and operating production databases in enterprise scale with prior experience working in large banks and financial institutions.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
• Database health checks and creation of new databases • Database performance tuning and operations • Database installation, configuration, maintenance, administration and monitoring • Database design and modeling • Diagnosis and troubleshooting • Query fine-tuning and performing code reviews.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• At least a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science or Engineering • Minimum 10 years of work experience in Information Technology sector • Minimum 5 years of work experience as a DBA with strong expertise in both MySQL and Oracle environments.
• Possess broad range of technical knowledge (e.
.
applications, enterprise technology, infrastructure, and telecommunications) and SDLC experience and Agile • Strong knowledge in ETL tools and reporting tools • Strong interpersonal skills • Experience in banking applications is a big plus #LI-KW1 #DICE CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
